“The flag of Europe”, awarded the scholarship for the International Ventotene Seminar 2023

The first European flag-themed photo contest, #theflagofeuropephotocontest is over.
As many as 76 participants challenged each other, in the name of creativity, by sending their best shot of the European flag.
During the first phase of the evaluation, the qualified jury (composed of: Reinier Van Lanschot, Brando Benifei, Marie Pierre Vedrenne, Madeleina Kay, EC_DG_MEME, Davide Negri and Knut Andrè Sande) choose the 30 most symbolically valid and creative photos . Subsequently, the 30 photos were all reposted on theflagofeurope Instagram account (https://www.instagram.com/theflagofeurope/) where, through likes, the 5 photos most appreciated by the public emerged. Julianne Vella, originally from Malta and part of the Maltese European Youth Federalist won the first prize consisting of a watch and a European flag. She and the other 4 winners participated in a selection and the Institute of Federalist Studies Altiero Spinelli decides that Vella wins the scholarship for the next 39th international Seminar in Ventotene (september 3-8, 2023).
#THEFLAGOFEUROPE is a project by Art Director and Visual Artist Lorenzo Epis. It is an ongoing group art exhibition featuring the one and only European flag. It is a platform for young proud europeans to share their creativity and vision about a united, democratic and sovereign Europe.
