The new “Fridays for Future” column opens on the website of the Altiero Spinelli Institute to gather contributions from federalist thinking on the issues of climate change. International co-operation is no longer sufficient to govern complex problems together on a global scale. We need federal organizations, starting with the European Union. Independent supranational institutions are needed, entrusted with the implementation of common policies to be pursued, adequately financed by contributions from the states and own resources deriving from a recognized capacity for taxation.
We hope with this collection to help address the biggest problem facing humanity today.
