Ventotene-Houjarray School on Memories 2024

The Altiero Spinelli Institute for Federalist Studies is co-organizer, together with Jean Monnet House, the European Observatory on Memories (EUROM) and in collaboration with the Young European Federalists (JEF Europe), of the second edition of the “Ventotene-Houjarray School on Memories”.

The 2024 edition of the “Ventotene-Houjarray School on Memories” is focused on the “European Elections: A historical perspective”.

The Seminar will be organized at the Jean Monnet House in Bazoches-sur-Guyonne, 40 km from Paris (France).

The Seminar will welcome 25 young participants from all over Europe.

Through the organisation of conferences, workshops, debates and practical activities, participants will become familiar with the latest research on memory studies and will be able to contribute to raising awareness of Europe’s past as a key to making informed choices for the present and future.

The Spinelli Institute will select up to a maximum of 4 young participants coming from Italy and will reimburse a total of 150 euros per selected participants for travel expenses.

All participants receive, without any cost, full board and accommodation from the lunch of May, 8th to the breakfast of May, 11th (included).

Applicants must be between 18 and 35 on May 8, 2024.

Participants shall organize their trip to Paris considering that it takes 3 hours to reach Paris airports from Jean Monnet House.

The deadline to apply to the “Ventotene-Houjarray School on Memories 2024” is April 24, 2024 at 12.00 p.m. (CET).

The Seminar is co-funded by the European Union.
